ExtenD Corporation exhibited at the Technology Experience Booth hosted by the Japan Patent Attorneys Association, held from October 5 to 7, 2025.
At the venue, we held an interactive event featuring our diamond electronic tongue sensor “SenseBot®” —
a tasting challenge between the Liquid AI Sommelier and human participants!
Event Overview
Participants were invited to memorize the characteristics of four different mineral waters and then take on the “Water Tasting Challenge” to identify one of them in a blind test.
Meanwhile, ExtenD’s AI Sommelier used the spectral data of the water measured by the diamond electronic tongue sensor to make its determination through artificial intelligence.
It was truly a serious “match” between humans and AI.
Results and Feedback
Over the course of three days, we held approximately 90 sessions — each lasting 10 minutes and accommodating 6 participants — with a total of around 500 attendees.
The AI Sommelier achieved an impressive win rate of approximately 95%!
The booth was lively and filled with laughter and amazement throughout the event, making it an engaging and memorable experience for all visitors.

ExtenD will continue to accelerate its research, development, and social implementation efforts toward realizing Digital Transformation (DX) for liquids using diamond electronic tongue sensor technology.
