In January 2026, at the “nano tech 2026 – The 25th International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference” held at Tokyo Big Sight, the booth of NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), a National Research and Development Agency, received the “nano tech Award.”

This award was granted in recognition of the high evaluation received in the following areas
- Innovation and originality
- Commercial potential, marketability, and economic viability
- Consideration for environmental conservation and safety
The NEDO booth presented a clear vision and roadmap toward the industrialization of innovative technologies utilizing nanotechnology, such as “CO₂-absorbing concrete,” and its comprehensive initiatives were highly praised.
Our company, ExtenD Co. Ltd. (a startup originating from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), participated in this exhibition upon recommendation by NEDO and showcased the following technologies.
■ Large-Area Hot Filament CVD
A next-generation CVD technology that enables large-area, highly uniform thin films. Development toward industrialization is underway, targeting applications in energy materials and next-generation devices.
■ Liquid AI Sommelier
A system that automatically evaluates the properties of liquid materials and their suitability for specific applications using AI. This informatics technology supports innovation in materials development.
