We are pleased to announce that our Director and CTO, Dr. Shinya Omagari, will be speaking at an online youth event hosted by the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP), alongside Nobel laureate Professor Hiroshi Amano of Nagoya University.
Under the theme “What is Applied Physics?”, this event aims to convey the excitement and societal importance of applied physics to the younger generation, including high school, technical college, and university students.
The first session, titled “Changing the World with Semiconductors,” will feature leading researchers who will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the development of the blue LED that illuminated the world, and the potential of diamond as a next-generation power semiconductor.
As a startup accelerating the transition of research outcomes into societal applications, ExtenD will contribute to the advancement of science and technology and the development of future talent through our participation in this event.
